Fury’s father reveals whether his son will fight Joshua

John FuryThe father of WBC heavyweight belt holder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) says his son’s fight with former champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) is unlikely.

“AJ has his own problems. It’s going to be a fight like Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe that never happened. Joshua has to get over the Wallin fight and then he fights Wilder, so he’s got two Everests to climb before he gets to Tyson. He had a chance after all right? And they destroyed it. All that happened was they put AJ in a tough spot. Both fights are not easy, they are beatable. He has a chance to lose to Wallin.

That ship has sailed. But if AJ doesn’t keep winning, Wallin can’t beat, Wilder can’t beat, and Tyson remains the undisputed champion. What happened? Then the game will continue. The greatest challenge ever to grace the television screen. Isn’t that what dreams are all about? I couldn’t ask for anything better. I don’t think this fight will ever happen like this,” said John Fury.
