On March 5th, Colby’s titan fight against Masvidal at the UFC

One of the biggest mixed martial arts derbies in recent years will take place on March 5th at UFC 272. In particular, the former champion Colby Covington meets Jorge Masvidal in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The race is welterweight and the athletes will compete against each other for five rounds. Colby and Masvidal have major disadvantages. In fact, they were once athletes on the American Top Team. Covington has left his team and is training at the MMA Masters.

Covington comes from a loss to Kamaru last November. It was his second loss to the African in a title shot. In ten games he has eight wins in the UFC.

Masvidal also comes from a loss to the champions by knockout. And he counts two losses from Nightmare. Masvidal’s most important success in his career is winning the BMF belt against Nate Diaz and the Flying Knee against Ben Askren.
