On December 23, a major boxing show took place at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia.

The main event of the night was the fight between the former world champion. Anthony Joshua of Great Britain (26–3, 23 KOs) and Otto Wallin of Sweden (26–1, 11 KOs).

Anthony Joshua had a huge advantage and won the fight early. In the 5th round.

There was tension in the side-main fight in Saudi Arabia. American Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) lost to New Zealander Joseph Parker (33-3, 23 KOs) via unanimous decision (111-118, 110-118, 108-120).

A potential fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder planned for the spring may no longer happen.

However, AJ believes the fight could happen:

“I don’t know what will happen at the moment, but I’m sure the fans will be very upset about it. For myself, I always understand that it’s a game. You never know what will happen. This is boxing at an elite level. Wilder is devastated, but he lives to fight.”

He and I can still do this. I believe I am a serious threat. And I still think Wilder is a threat. If we do that, I still think we’ll get incredible numbers. However, I leave this decision to my management, coaches and organizers. “I’m ready to fight anyone, anytime,” Joshua said.
