Hasim RAHMAN: ‘Alvarez could be Usyk’s favourite’

Former world heavyweight champion American Hasim Rahman believes Mexico’s Saul Alvarez has a good chance of winning in a fight against Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk. According to Rahman, their match should have a weight limit of 201 pounds (up to 91 kg, passenger weight limit).

“I want Alvarez to face Usyk at 201 pounds. I think he has a chance. He might even be a favourite. Yes, you could say Canelo is too small for the heavyweight, but notice, I didn’t say just 201 pounds.

If the fight takes place with such a weight limit, Usyk will have to lose weight, lose muscle mass, while Alvarez will add it all. Canelo knows how to box and constantly trains with heavyweights.

Usyk is not one of the strongest heavyweights. He wasn’t even big in heavyweight. So if the fight goes with such restrictions, I think Alvarez has a good chance of becoming the world’s unified heavyweight champion. I’m giving him a chance.

I think Saul can win. All the strengths of Usyk are in Canelo. Also, Alvarez has an iron jaw. Usyk won’t hurt him, so I’m giving him a shot. I actually think Canelo is the favorite for this fight,” Rahman said.

Recall that Saul Alvarez is the undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division, and Oleksandr Usyk holds the WBA, WBO and IBF titles in the heavyweight division.

Recall that Mustache was supposed to have a rematch with Anthony Joshua in the summer. Saul Alvarez will soon fight the Russian Dmitry Bivol.

TYSON FURY: “There was a void after Klitschko. He can fill that void.”

Former two-time world champion Tyson Rage He believes that boxer Agit Kabayel will be the first boxing star in Germany after the Klitschko brothers, who usually hold their fights here.

“Germany has been missing a bright boxing star for a long time. In the early 2000s, the country experienced a real boom thanks to the Klitschko brothers, Arthur Abraham and Marco Huck. After the end of the Klitschko era, this scene was almost empty. Now there is a gap there, and in my opinion, Agit has the capacity to be the boxer to fill this gap,” said Tyson.

Previously, former world champion Tyson Fury explained why Alexander Usyk will not fight against interim WBC champion Agit Kabayel.
