Russian freestyle wrestlers won nine gold medals at the BRICS Games, which are taking place in Kazan.
On Tuesday, victories were won by Ramiz Gamzatov (up to 57 kg), Bashir Magomedov (up to 61 kg), Abasgadzhi Magomedov (up to 65 kg), Kurban Shiraev (up to 70 kg), Anzor Zakuev (up to 74 kg), Magomed Magomaev (up to 79 kg ), Malik Shavaev (up to 86 kg), Alan Bagaev (up to 92 kg) and Shamil Musaev (up to 125 kg).
Russian athletes managed to win ten medals in ten weight categories in freestyle wrestling competitions at the BRICS Games. In the weight up to 97 kg, Bady-Maadyr Samdan became the bronze medalist.
The BRICS Games in the capital of Tatarstan will end on June 23.
