A photograph of the Russian wrestler Sadulayev appeared on the official website of the Olympics in Paris

On the main page of the wrestling section on the official website of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, an image appeared with Russian freestyle wrestler Abdulrashid Sadulayev.

The photograph captures the moment of the Russian’s fight with the American Kyle Snyder.

On Saturday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the names of 14 Russian wrestlers who, as of June 15, received neutral status to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris; Sadulayev was not among them.

The Summer Olympics in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

In February 2022, the IOC recommended that sports federations not allow Russians and Belarusians to participate in international tournaments. Later, the recommendations were softened, and in December 2023, the head of the IOC, Thomas Bach, announced that the organization would allow Russian and Belarusian athletes who had successfully passed the selection process to the 2024 Summer Olympics in an individual neutral status. Athletes will be able to perform in Paris without the flag, anthem and other national symbols.
