Robert Whittaker is a former UFC middleweight champion. Whittaker, 33, has 25 wins (nine by knockout, 11 by decision, five by submission) and seven losses.
31-year-old Aliskerov has 15 wins (six by knockout, four by decision, five by submission) and one loss.
For Aliskerov, the fight with Whittaker will be his first appearance in the main event of the UFC tournament. The Russian came on as a replacement for Khamzat Chimaev, who withdrew from the fight due to injury.
