Russian judokas are always focused on winning gold medals at competitions, for which they work at training camps 300 days a year, said the coach of the Russian men’s national team, Murat Khabachirov, on air at Match TV.
Judo competitions are taking place at the BRICS Games in Kazan on Saturday.
— Is there a medal plan for the BRICS Games?
— There is no specific medal plan. The athletes are ready, because we are at training camps 300 days a year. They understand that they are not at home, they do not see their families. That’s why they come only for gold in all categories.
— What will the Games be remembered for?
— The Games are held at a very high level. Kazan always hosts competitions at the highest level. I was here at the 2013 Universiade. I thank the city for the organization and for what is being done here for sports, — Khabachirov said on Match TV.
The BRICS Games in Kazan will end on Sunday.
Watch live broadcasts of the competitions on the Match group channels, as well as on streaming platforms.
