“He put himself in a good position” – Dana White on title shot possibility for Volkov

UFC President Dana White commented on the performance of Russian fighter Alexander Volkov at a press conference after the UFC tournament in Saudi Arabia.
In the co-main event of the evening, Alexander Volkov won by unanimous decision over the third number in the heavyweight division, Sergei Pavlovich. Volkov is currently on a four-fight winning streak and is ranked fifth (before the fight with Pavlovich) in the top 15 UFC heavyweights.
“Today was a good night for him. Volkov put himself in a very good position. He looked good, he had a good game plan, he won. I won’t talk about title fights now, right after the tournament is over, but he definitely put himself in a good position,” White was quoted as saying by a Match TV correspondent.
