The Russian team took first place in the team standings at the European Boxing Championships
The Russian team took first place in the overall team competition at the European Boxing Championships among boys and girls aged 15–16.
The competition took place in Sarajevo. Russian boxers won 22 medals: 16 gold, three silver and three bronze.
The winners of the competition were Anastasia Golunova (weight category up to 50 kg), Kristina Borisenko (up to 54 kg), Ekaterina Nesvetaeva (up to 60 kg), Daria Antipova (up to 75 kg), Samira Itonieva (over 80 kg), Iman Magomedov (up to 52 kg), Pavel Kondrashov (up to 57 kg), Prokhor Startsev (up to 70 kg), Vladislav Lavrinenko (up to 80 kg), Bella Zueva (up to 57 kg), Irina Korobova (up to 63 kg), Anna Buzuleva (up to 80 kg), Umar Ibakhiev (up to 46 kg), Islam Magomedov (up to 50 kg), Maxim Sobolev (up to 60 kg) and Rustam Gasanov (over 80 kg).

UFC lightweight number one Arman Tsarukyan said that he does not yet consider a potential grappling fight with the promotion’s welterweight champion Islam Makhachev to be realistic.
