Russians Win Six Gold Medals on First Day of International Judo Tournament in Chelyabinsk

Russian judokas won six gold medals out of seven on the first day of the international Russian Judo Tour tournament in Chelyabinsk.

The winners of the competition were Gamzat Zairbekov (weight category up to 60 kg, Dagestan), Abrek Naguchev (up to 66 kg, Krasnodar Krai), Kamila Bodurova (up to 63 kg, Sverdlovsk Oblast), Taisiya Kireeva (up to 70 kg, Chelyabinsk Oblast), Alexandra Babintseva (up to 78 kg, Moscow) and Maria Ivanova (over 78 kg, Samara Oblast). Akhmadzhod Masudi from Tajikistan also won gold in the weight category up to 73 kg.

On June 30, athletes will compete for 7 more sets of awards; winners and prize winners will be announced in the weight categories up to 81, 90, 100 and over 100 kg for men, as well as in the categories up to 48, 52 and 57 kg for women.
