“We left everything in the past.” Ismailov on the feud with Mineev
After losing to Vladimir Mineev in the main event of the Pulse UP Boxing tournament, Magomed Ismailov said that their feud was a thing of the past.
The fight was held according to boxing rules and lasted eight rounds. Mineev won by unanimous decision of the judges.
– Vladimir was very good today. He hit well and hard. I underestimated Vladimir a little. Everyone said that I had little chance. I gave myself more. But now I can say with confidence that he is a good boxer. We were on Match TV and before the broadcast we had a quick talk and left the feud in the past. Let us have a clean future. I want to express my respect to him. Both as a person and as an athlete. He showed himself well today. But in MMA I will still run him over, – Ismailov said after the fight.
Mineev and Ismailov have previously met twice in the cage. Their first fight, which took place in October 2018 at the Fight Nights Global 90 tournament, ended in a draw.
The second fight between Mineev and Ismailov took place in October 2021 at the AMC Fight Nights 105 tournament. Vladimir won this fight by technical knockout in the third round.
In total, 34-year-old Mineev has 17 wins, one loss and one draw in MMA. 38-year-old Ismailov has 18 wins, four losses and one draw.
