In a conversation with a Match TV correspondent, RCC head Nikolai Klimenko expressed hope that Magomed Ismailov and Vladimir Mineev will have another fight under boxing rules.

Mineev won a unanimous decision in the main event of the Pulse UP Boxing tournament against Ismailov. The fight was held according to boxing rules and lasted eight rounds.

– Cool boxing, I haven’t seen anything like this in a long time. I didn’t expect the guys to show such a level. Big drama, knockdowns, Magomed showed incredible strength of spirit. I didn’t expect everything to develop like this. I would be happy to see a rematch according to boxing rules, it’s a fight between two warriors, both fought to the end, – Klimenko told Match TV.

Mineev and Ismailov have previously met twice in the cage. Their first fight, which took place in October 2018 at the Fight Nights Global 90 tournament, ended in a draw.

The second fight between Mineev and Ismailov took place in October 2021 at the AMC Fight Nights 105 tournament. Mineev won this fight by technical knockout in the third round.

In total, 34-year-old Mineev has 17 wins, one loss and one draw in MMA. 38-year-old Ismailov has 18 wins, four losses and one draw.
