Russian MMA fighter Vladimir Mineev dedicated his victory over Magomed Ismailov to a comrade who died in the SVO zone.

On Saturday in Moscow, 34-year-old Mineev won a unanimous decision over 38-year-old Ismailov in a boxing match as part of the PULSE UP Boxing tournament. In September 2022, Mineev received a draft notice and joined the Russian Armed Forces in February 2023. The fighter returned from the SVO zone several times to participate in fights.

— Thanks to everyone who was rooting for me, everyone who supported me in the stands and in front of TV screens. I won’t list them all, so as not to forget anyone. The European Championships have passed, our battles are being followed. But I would like to dedicate the victory to my fallen comrade, the group commander, Junior Lieutenant Malovichko. My commander of the Lenin group died heroically, holder of the Order of Courage, Junior Lieutenant Malovichko. The kingdom of heaven. And to all the soldiers who fell in defense of our land, — Mineev said after the battle.

Live broadcasts of mixed martial arts tournaments can be seen on the Match TV and Match! Fighter TV channels, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
