MMA fighter Magomed Gadzhiyasulov spoke about the injury he received in his debut fight in the UFC.
In his debut fight, the 30-year-old light heavyweight, who competes under the flag of Bahrain, defeated Brazilian Brenson Ribeiro by a majority decision. The fighter’s MMA statistics are nine wins in nine fights.
— I’ve never had any problems with my knees, and I always run a lot too. My knees have never bothered me in general, but after the fight the doctors told me that I needed to get an X-ray there, in Saudi Arabia. I thought it was nothing serious, just a bruise on my leg.
When I came here, I had an MRI scan to send to the UFC, and it showed that I had a complete meniscus tear. Doctors say that it was unlikely to be caused by blows. Maybe I had this injury for a long time, maybe it was a partial tear, but I did not feel it. And after the fight, apparently, it was completely torn, – “Championship” quotes Lova Gadzhiyasulov.
