The coaches had to lift the exhausted Michal to hear the results announced.

Russian Sharabutdin Magomedov will quickly become one of the most popular UFC fighters. It is no surprise that in his third fight in the promotion, Pirate was entrusted with the co-main event of the evening, and he did not disappoint, brutally beating his opponent from Poland.

“I want to make amends for them”

Sharabutdin returned to the octagon just 41 days after his brilliant victory over Brazilian Antonio Trocoli. The promotion’s management went to meet the Russian fighter, who wanted to perform more often.

His opponent was the Pole Michal Oleksiejczuk (19-8), nicknamed Hussar, who performs quite successfully against opponents from Russia. In the UFC, he achieved victories in fights with Gadzhimurad Antigulov and Shamil Gamzatov.

Gusar has excellent boxing technique. He won 14 of his victories by knockout, 11 of them in the first round. That’s how he dealt with the Russians. But Shara Bullet himself can boast of a powerful “punch”, our fighter is especially good at kicks, and he has no shortage of courage.

– Yes, he has good boxing, he sets a good pace. In principle, I also set the pace. Let’s see who sets it for whom now. I have something to offer him in the fight, because we are not going out for a boxing match. So my elbows can respond very harshly to his fists, – Magomedov said in an interview with Match TV.

Sharabutdin also traditionally wanted to please the “simple Russian men.” Added to this was the motivation to avenge his fellow countrymen from Dagestan.

– This opponent defeated two of our guys, Russians, Dagestanis. And it is very unpleasant that he won against them. I know these guys personally. I want to rehabilitate myself for them. And I also want to win ahead of schedule, of course. Because he also won ahead of schedule, – the athlete added.

Pole gets beaten up

Michal started to work as the first number, but Sharabutdin did not forget to respond to the Pole’s attacks. Pirate’s legs caused big problems for Oleksiychuk. The Russian’s middle kicks regularly shook the liver.

By the middle of the round, the Pole had a severe cut above his left eye, and Shara’s elbow had hit the target. Despite the injury, the Pole persistently moved forward and attacked, so the round was almost even.

The beginning of the second round was entirely in Magomedov’s favor. The advantage in the length of his arms helped him to reach his opponent in exchanges of blows. The Pole often simply shook the air. Oleksiejchuk noticeably slowed down and began to rely on lucky punches. Michal also tried to succeed at close range, but ran into three heavy knee blows.

At the beginning of the decisive period, Shara dropped his hands, openly mocking the exhausted Pole. But don’t think that Oleksiejczuk was helpless in the final five minutes. He went forward like a wounded animal. Two minutes before the end, Michal grabbed the Russian’s leg after a high kick and tried to wrestle, but he was unsuccessful in this area. Shara Bullet defended himself competently, delivering heavy blows with his elbows.

The last attack took all the strength from the Pole. He couldn’t even get up right after the final siren. The cutman “patched” his cuts right in the center of the octagon, and the coaches raised him up when the result was announced. It’s no surprise that all the judges gave the Russian fighter the win – 30-27, 30-27, 29-28.
