European boxing champion Dmitry Dvali said that he is preparing for surgery.

Earlier it was reported that 23-year-old Dvali stood up for a boy who was being beaten by a crowd in Feodosia and was seriously injured in the fight. The Investigative Committee of Crimea and Sevastopol is establishing the circumstances of the fight, as a result of which Dvali may lose an eye.

The criminal case, initiated in connection with the attack by a group of people on the Russian boxing champion, is being investigated under the article on hooliganism. The case has been transferred to the central office of the Investigative Committee of Russia for control.

At the same time, the head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered that the actions of the people who attacked the boxer be reclassified as attempted murder.

Dvali is the 2024 European Champion and the bronze medalist of the 2023 World Championship.
