All nine participants in the mass brawl in Feodosia have been identified and detained; they have been charged with attempted murder of Russian boxing champion Dmitry Dvali, the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reports.

Earlier it was reported that 23-year-old Dvali stood up for a boy who was being beaten by a crowd in Feodosia and was seriously injured in the fight – doctors diagnosed him with a fractured orbital bone. Dvali told Match TV that he was preparing for surgery and hoped to restore his vision.

— Nine residents of the Feodosia urban district have been charged with attempted murder of a person related to the performance of his public duty, committed by a group of people out of hooligan motives.

In cooperation with colleagues from the UFSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, all nine participants in the mass brawl were identified, detained and are in pretrial detention. The accused are citizens of the Russian Federation, three of whom worked as security guards at a local club, the rest were general laborers. The 23-year-old athlete and his 43-year-old friend were recognized as victims in the criminal case, and interaction with them has been organized.

Searches were conducted at the residences of the defendants and their relatives, the crime scene was inspected and testimony was verified with the participation of the accused at the scene, video recordings from street surveillance cameras were seized and studied, forensic medical examinations were ordered, and a number of witnesses and eyewitnesses of the conflict were questioned.

The investigation is currently preparing to go to court with a motion to select a preventive measure for all the accused, the press release says.

Dvali is the European champion and bronze medalist of the World Championship.

The strongest boxers of our time – Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Japanese Naoya Inoue – We met in the ring of Mohammed Abdo Aren in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on December 27th.

On this day, a boxing night took place, the main event of which was the fight in the weight category up to 55.3 kg. WBC, WBO, WBA, IBF world champion Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) defeated his Mexican opponent Alan David Picasso (32-0-1, 17 KOs).

The fight continued for all 12 rounds and ended with a confident victory for the Japanese “Beast” by unanimous decision.

After the final gong, Usik approached the champion in the ring, congratulated him on his victory and shook hands. Inoue admitted that he was not 100% satisfied with his performance and appreciated the Ukrainian’s place in the ranking of the strongest boxers of our time.

Next year, Usik plans to fight against former American champion Deontay Wilder, and Naoya is considering two options: Junto Nakatani or Jesse Rodriguez.
