Former Russian athlete defeats Ukrainian in freestyle wrestling bronze fight at 2024 Olympics

Azerbaijan’s Russian-born Magomedkhan Magomedov defeated Ukraine’s Muraz Mchedlidze in the bronze medal match in the men’s 97 kg freestyle wrestling competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The fight ended with a score of 10:0 in favor of Magomedov.
The 26-year-old athlete has been representing Azerbaijan in international competitions since 2022. During this time, he has won silver (2023) and bronze (2022) at the World Championships, as well as gold at the European Championships (2022).
The Olympic Games in Paris will end on August 11.
