Wrestler Kurugliev, who brought bronze to the Greek team at the 2024 Olympics, was given an apartment in Dagestan
Freestyle wrestler Dauren Kurugliev was awarded a certificate for an apartment in Derbent, the city’s mayor Akhmed Kuliev reported.
Kurugliev won a bronze medal in the 86 kg weight category at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Since April 2023, the native of Dagestan has represented the Greek national team.
— I sincerely congratulated our fellow countryman Dauren Kurugliev on his bronze medal at the Olympics. He had been working towards this goal for a long time. And finally, Dauren achieved such a high result. Together with our friends, we decided to make a small gift. This is a certificate for an apartment. We also awarded the badge of distinction “For services to the city of Derbent” to coach Gaidar Gaidarov. We expect new victories from Dauren and a gold medal from the next Olympics, — Kuliev wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Olympic Games in Paris ended on August 11. Gold at the Games in the capital of France was won by natives of Dagestan Akhmed Tazhudinov (competing for Bahrain), Razambek Zhamalov (Uzbekistan), Magomed Ramazanov (Bulgaria), and a bronze medal was also won by Magomedkhan Magomedov (Azerbaijan).

Russian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan and his compatriot Sharabutdin Magomedov, nicknamed Shara Bullet, ended in a draw in a grappling fight.

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.
At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.

Russian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan said that he will give his compatriot Sharabutdin Magomedov, nicknamed Shara Bullet, an apartment in Yerevan if he defeats him in a grappling fight.
The fight is scheduled for December 30 and should take place in Yerevan.
“If Shara wins against me, then I will personally give him an apartment in Yerevan,” Tsarukyan said in a video published on the Red Corner MMA page on the X social network.
