Former World Boxing Council (WBC) champion Russian Grigory Drozd has been temporarily suspended due to suspicion of violating anti-doping rules, according to the website of the International Doping Testing Agency (ITA).
The suspension period begins on September 9 based on the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory (LIMS) database. The report states that the violation dates back to September 28, 2014.
Drozd is 45 years old, he scored 40 wins with one defeat, from 2014 to 2016 he held the WBC cruiserweight champion belt. At the end of 2017, he completed his professional career.
