Former WBC world boxing champion Grigory Drozd said that in the upcoming fight between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion, Bivol has a higher chance of success.

The fight for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion between the undefeated Russians will take place on October 12 in Riyadh. Bivol has 23 victories and holds the IBO and WBA light heavyweight belts. Beterbieva won 20 early victories and holds the IBF, WBO and WBC belts.

“It seems to me that Dmitry Bivol may look preferable in this fight, and I give him my vote. I think Bivol will win. He is my favorite in the upcoming fight. They have different styles, and therein lies the mystery: whose style will ultimately win. Dima has the best legs, a sense of distance, good defense and a sharp strike. And Beterbiev, of course, is known for applying a lot of pressure and, accordingly, he has a very powerful shot. He finished all his victories, all his fights by knockout, 20-0. “He’s a real knockout and puncher,” Drozd told RBC Sport.
