Beterbiev defeated Bivol and became the absolute world light heavyweight champion
Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev defeated compatriot Dmitry Bivol in a fight for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion.
The fight took place in Riyadh. The fight lasted all 12 rounds, Beterbiev won by decision of the judges.
Beterbiev now owns the WBA, IBO, WBC, IBF and WBO belts.
The rivals approached the battle undefeated. Now Beterbiev has 21 victories, Bivol has 23 won fights and one defeat.
