UFC-6 champion Oleg Taktarov believes that Irishman Conor McGregor should not count on fights with the organization’s top fighters.

Former absolute light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, 2020 Olympic champion and ex-temporary WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev and bronze medalist of the 2020 Games and 2023 World Championships Imam Khataev, in a conversation with Match TV, named American Terence Crawford the best boxer of 2025.

In 2025, Crawford defeated Mexican Saul Alvarez by unanimous decision, becoming the undisputed super middleweight champion. Prior to this, the American was the absolute champion in the junior welterweight and welterweight divisions, and also became the champion in the lightweight and junior middleweight divisions. In early December, the boxer was stripped of his WBC super middleweight belt due to non-payment of championship fees. At the end of December, 38-year-old Crawford announced his retirement from the sport. He scored 42 victories in 42 fights (31 knockouts) and left the ring undefeated.
