Bivol told how he felt during the announcement of the winner of the fight against Beterbiev
Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol, after the fight for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion, told how he felt when Artur Beterbiev was declared the winner of the fight.
The fight took place in Riyadh. The fight lasted all 12 rounds. Beterbiev won by decision of the judges. Now he owns the WBA, IBO, WBC, IBF and WBO belts.
– What would you like to do now? What is your wish?
“I just want to come to my room, sit quietly, think, reflect, take my notebook and write down a plan for the next couple of months.
– Do you want to rewatch the fight now?
– Not really.
“Can you describe your thoughts when Arthur’s hand was raised?”
– In fact, I had some kind of peace before the winner was announced. I did the work. Somewhere, perhaps, not ideal. They raised their hand and raised it. I switched immediately. This is another test in my life. We must move on. There is no time for disappointment,” a Match TV correspondent reports Bivol’s words from the scene.
The rivals approached the battle undefeated. Now Beterbiev has 21 victories, Bivol has 23 won fights and one defeat.
