Fighter Mineev on the exclusion of Russians from competitions: “If you look at the geography, half the world supports us”

Mixed martial arts fighter Vladimir Mineev said on Match TV that a large number of countries support Russian athletes against the backdrop of being barred from international tournaments.

Russian athletes in many sports have been suspended from international competitions.

— It’s a rather one-sided position that we were expelled. If you look at geography, half the world supports us. There is no need to despair. There are psychological warfare techniques, but they don’t work if you’re not paying attention. For example, I now compete under the flag of the Ministry of Defense,” Mineev told a Match TV correspondent at the “Russia is a Sports Power” forum.
