“I would like to fight with Mineev. These are fights for the sake of fighting, for sport, for spectacle. There are no belts at stake” – Shtyrkov
RCC fighter Ivan Shtyrkov admitted that he wants to fight with the famous Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Vladimir Mineev.
36-year-old Shtyrkov on Friday defeated Khadis Ibragimov at the RCC 20 tournament by technical knockout in the second round, scoring the 24th victory in his professional career. The light heavyweight is on a seven-fight winning streak, unbeaten since December 2020. Shtyrkov spent most of his matches in the RCC league, representing the Archangel Michael team.
– I would like to fight with Vladimir. This is an interesting matchup that will attract a lot of attention. I don’t see any downsides in him – neither for him nor for me. There is nothing critical. Everyone will take theirs. These are fights for the sake of fighting, for the sake of sport, spectacle. There are no belts on the line. But we have already created our names and reached a certain level,” Ivan Shtyrkov told the Championship.
Live broadcasts of mixed martial arts tournaments can be seen on the Match TV and Match! Fighter”, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
