World champion Murtazaliev wants to see a rematch between Beterbiev and Bivol

IBF junior middleweight title holder Bakhram Murtazaliev said he wants to see a rematch between Russians Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

On Saturday in Riyadh, Beterbiev defeated Bivol by decision and became the absolute world light heavyweight champion. The score of the judges’ notes is 116:112, 115:113, 114:114. Bivol suffered the first defeat in his career, and Beterbiev brought the fight to a decision by the judges for the first time. Now he has 21 victories, 20 of which are early.

“I didn’t count the rounds, but the fight itself turned out to be incredibly powerful. In the light heavyweight division, you can’t think of anything better than a rematch between Bivol and Beterbiev,” Murtazaliev told Metaratings.ru.

Five-time MMA world champion Aidar Makhmetov also spoke about the outcome of the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

– Beterbiev controlled the center of the ring and constantly applied pressure. The most important thing is that Arthur showed himself to be a more active fighter in the championship rounds. Bivol’s mistake was that in the championship rounds he overlapped in the block and defended for 30-40 seconds. Questions arise for the judge, who gave the victory to Beterbiev with a score of 116-112 (8-4 in rounds). This is far from reality. But other scores, like 115-113 or 115-114 in favor of Beterbiev, do not raise any questions, especially since one of the judges gave it a draw.
