Anatoly suffered the first, but very dubious, defeat in his career.
Until today, the undefeated fighter from Russia Anatoly Malykhin has not met worthy resistance in one of the strongest leagues in the world – ONE FC. But everything changed after meeting with the huge African Umar Kane, who gave the champion a beating, but the result of the fight still raises big questions.
“It always breaks down”
Malykhin (14-0) has become the main star of ONE FC in three years. He was the first in the history of the promotion to win belts in three weight categories at once. The promotion management had a really big problem finding opponents for the Russian, because all the previous ones lost ahead of schedule. No one seriously considered Senegalese giant Oumar Kane (6-1) as a dangerous opponent.

Sensational defeat
The first round turned out to be quite boring. Umar quickly started fighting and held Malykhin against the ropes. Anatoly tried to free himself from the difficult situation, but the Malian stood like a wall. The Russian tried to cheat by grabbing the ropes twice, but received a yellow card for this, which would ultimately play a fatal role.
The second segment began in a similar vein, but Malykhin already looked better. The fighters were approximately equally successful in the fight. The ending of the round turned out to be more fun. The opponents began to exchange blows, where Anatoly looked a little better.
The Russian started the third five minutes more actively. He pinned Kane in the corner and delivered several accurate and very heavy blows. But Umar responded dangerously, not noticing his opponent’s attacks, which led to a cut above our fighter’s eyebrow.
Anatoly has never fought the fourth round in his career; the Malian showed excellent readiness. At the beginning of this segment, he looked even fresher, although he lacked activity. Malykhin moved forward and looked a little better, but began to act more slowly.
In the decisive round, the Russian acted as number one, but he was sorely lacking the strength to knock out his opponent. Kane “swallowed” even powerful blows from Anatoly without visible damage. At the same time, the Senegalese was afraid to go forward and worked as number two very carefully. But this was enough for the judges to give Umar the victory by split decision.
Anatoly simply had no face after this defeat, but he found the strength to congratulate his opponent on his victory and acted like a man. Only the bosses of ONE FC can be happy with this decision. They already have their next big fight lined up. Revenge is definitely unavoidable.

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.
At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

I thank everyone for their incredible support along this path: both in moments of triumph and in moments of challenge. She gives strength. I promise this new chapter will be just as honest and purposeful. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just saying “goodbye,” Batyrgaziev wrote in the Telegram channel.
Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.

Russian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan said that he will give his compatriot Sharabutdin Magomedov, nicknamed Shara Bullet, an apartment in Yerevan if he defeats him in a grappling fight.
The fight is scheduled for December 30 and should take place in Yerevan.
“If Shara wins against me, then I will personally give him an apartment in Yerevan,” Tsarukyan said in a video published on the Red Corner MMA page on the X social network.
Tsarukyan defeated New Zealander Dan Hooker by submission in the second round at UFC Fight Night 265 in November 2025. He has 23 wins and three losses in MMA.
Middleweight Magomedov fought his last fight in July 2025 at the UFC on ABC 9 tournament, defeating Canadian Marc-Andre Barrio by unanimous decision. The Russian has 16 wins and one loss.

The injuries received by British boxer Anthony Joshua in a road accident in Nigeria turned out to be more serious than expected, and the British boxer’s future career is in question, reports the Daily Mail.
On Monday, on a section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Lexus SUV Joshua was in collided with a stationary truck. It was reported that the 36-year-old boxer, who was sitting behind the driver, received minor injuries and was hospitalized.
