“Volkov had a close fight with Gan, but the Russian looked preferable” – Bogatyrev

Russian heavyweight Adam Bogatyrev believes that UFC fighter Alexander Volkov deserved victory in the fight with Frenchman Cyril Gan.
At UFC 310, Volkov lost to Gan via split decision. The head of the league, Dana White, criticized this decision, believing that the fighter from Russia won.
“I saw a close fight, but, in my impressions, Volkov looked preferable. In the first round, Volkov hit double types correctly and worked cool. I’m not ready to comment on the judge’s decision, but it could have been influenced by the fact that Gan threw low kicks and jabs. There was also a moment where he tried for a long time to apply a painful hold. Perhaps because of this, the judges saw Gan’s victory. Personally, I saw Sanya’s victory,” RB Sport quotes Bogatyrev as saying.
Volkov in MMA won 38 victories with 11 defeats, the record of 34-year-old Gan is 13 victories and 2 defeats.
