Former world boxing champion Briggs said that the Tyson vs. Paul fight was not a set-up
Former world heavyweight boxing champion American Shannon Briggs statedthat the fight between Mike Tyson and blogger Jake Paul was not staged.
Paul defeated the 58-year-old veteran, but did not knock him out, allowing him to last eight two-minute rounds. The outcome of the fight was decided by a unanimous judge’s decision in favor of the blogger.
– No, I don’t think the fight was fake. I think Mike should have thrown more punches,” Briggs said on FightHype.
Briggs was one of Jake Paul’s early professional coaches. To date, Paul has 11 wins in 12 professional fights and suffered one loss to Tommy Fury.
Last week, Paul was challenged by Russian Artur Beterbiev, the current absolute world light heavyweight champion.
