Former contender for the world champion title in the first heavyweight Dmitry Kudryashov assessed the prospects for a possible rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

Representatives of the team of ex-world champion Bivol confirmed to Match TV that they are negotiating a rematch with the absolute world champion Beterbiev. Journalist Dan Rafael reported on the Fight Freaks Unite podcast that the second fight between Bivol and Beterbiev could take place in Riyadh on February 22. The first fight between two Russian boxers took place on October 12, 2024, also in Riyadh, and ended in Beterbiev’s victory by a split decision.

– Of course, the understatement remained after the first fight. The fans were divided into two camps. Some say that Arthur won, others consider Bivol to be the winner, so the rematch will be very interesting. Whether it takes place or not, it seems to me that it will hardly be possible to hold it in the February. I’m sure this is preliminary information. Too little time for this.

I think that now they will have some intermediate fights, and maybe in a year there will be a rematch, or maybe there won’t be. To be honest, I don’t believe that the fight will take place in February,” Vprognoze.ru quotes Kudryashov as saying.
