Former Bellator fighter Kirill Sidelnikov spoke about the judge’s decision in the fight between Alexander Volkov and Cyril Gan in the UFC, in which the Frenchman was given the victory by split decision.
After the end of the tournament, the head of the league, Dana White, criticized this decision, believing that the fighter from Russia won.
— Everyone disagrees with the judge’s decision: the fans, the sports community and the UFC management. Not only in Russia, but also in America they write that Alexander was condemned. UFC executives even said that the contender for the title would not be Gan, but Alexander Volkov. This says a lot. Alexander was better and actually won this fight, but for some reason the judges decided differently. It’s nice that the league management looks at this fight with real eyes and does not consider such refereeing fair,” Sidelnikov told Vprognoze.ru.
Volkov in MMA won 38 victories with 11 defeats, Gan’s record is 13 victories and 2 defeats.
