“I’m satisfied with the date of the rematch with Bivol. I think we will be favorites” – Beterbieva’s coach
The coach of the absolute world light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, Mark Ramsey, told Match TV that they are satisfied with the date of the rematch with Dmitry Bivol.
The Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al al-Sheikh, announced that the rematch between Bivol and Beterbiev will take place on February 22 in Riyadh. The first fight between the two Russian boxers took place on October 12, 2024 and ended with Beterbiev winning by majority decision. As a result of that fight, Beterbiev became the absolute light heavyweight world champion.
—Are you satisfied with the announced date?
– Yes, everything is great. I think we will be favorites in the rematch,” Ramsey told Match TV.
Beterbiev won 21 victories (20 by knockout) in the professional ring, Bivol had 23 victories and one defeat.
