“In a rematch between Bivol and Beterbiev, the chances are 50/50” – Roy Jones

The chances of winning the rematch between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev are equal. This opinion was shared with Match TV by former absolute light heavyweight champion Roy Jones Jr., who has Russian citizenship.
The Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al al-Sheikh, announced that the rematch between Bivol and Beterbiev will take place on February 22 in Riyadh. The first fight between the two Russian boxers took place on October 12, 2024 and ended with Beterbiev winning by majority decision. As a result of that fight, Beterbiev became the absolute light heavyweight world champion.
— Organizing a rematch is the right decision. Arthur will probably be the favorite because he has dominated the last few rounds. But still, the chances of a rematch are 50 to 50,” Roy Jones told Match TV.
Beterbiev won 21 victories (20 by knockout) in the professional ring, Bivol had 23 victories and one defeat.
