Our elephant! Fury could not knock out boxer Johnson in love with Russia

Kevin beat the gypsy king in the eye and forced to back away. But he never achieved early victory.

On the evening of December 13, at the Boxing tournament in Moscow, ex-Bellator champion and the four-time world-time champion in sambo Vitaly Minakov will go in the ring with experienced boxer Kevin Johnson. Now the new Russian citizen is perceived by many as a shot down pilot, although he has the strength to cope with the same Vyacheslav Datsik. And some time ago, our elephant created problems for almost all top heavyweights.

Even Tyson Fury could not knock him.

“Drilling and dangerous opponent”

Boxer Kevin Johnson has become widely known to some young martial arts lovers only in recent years, when he often got citizenship in love with our country, and then received a heavyweight in love with Russia. But in a long career of a 45-year-old athlete there were enough bright pages and before the confrontations in the ring with the odious fighter Datsik or ex-champion Bellator Minakov.

Kingpin tested the possibilities of almost all top heavyweights: he fought with Daniel Dubois, Andy Ruis, Anthony Joshua, Derek Chisora, Tyson Fury. And few of the stars managed to send the American to the knockout. At the peak of his career, Johnson fought with Vitaly Klitschko for the WBC world title. The Ukrainian lit up all 12 rounds, but the belt did not give. In December 2012, Kevin tried to get closer to the cherished goal again, on the way to her as part of the qualifying match was to clash with Tyson Fury.

Of course, the gypsy king was the favorite of the fight in the Belfast. He had no defeat, Johnson had one unclosed one in his career. In addition, Kevin began to seriously prepare only three weeks before the battle. Nevertheless, the Briton was quite seriously related to the capabilities of the enemy.

– The victory over Johnson will bring me closer to a meeting with Klitschko. Vitaly will have to go against me in the ring after he sees that I could defeat Kevin much more confidently than he was three years ago. Just don’t think that I am too self -confident, I understand how much Johnson is a difficult and dangerous opponent, and I will prepare very seriously, you will see Tyson Fury in the best shape, ”the Gypsy king quoted. Nadezhda for knockout

Even in the best form, Fury was afraid of the opponent’s first rounds. Johnson preferred to act carefully, but his opponent also kept a distance, limited to single jes for a long time. In the second round, it seemed to the gypsy king that an American could be finished off, he turned on a series of heavy blows, but miscalculated. Kingpin did not even think to go into a knockout.

In the fourth round, Fury himself already fully exposed and began to hug, just to stop the enemy. In the course of the duel, there was no doubt in the British advantage, he beat more often and rather, but he did not have a clear superiority. It was even strange to observe that the opponent who inferior in the expense controls the center of the ring, and the favorite walks in the corners, only periodically arranging attempts on raids.

In the seventh round, to the displeasure of the local public, a score was removed from the British for a blow after the referee’s team. But in general, the gypsy king no longer doubted victory and began to play in the public. Then he moved by some comical huge steps in the ring, avoiding attacks, then triumphantly raised his hands after a series of successful blows. Johnson could only hope for knockout, and in the end he really greatly charged Tyson in the eye. Many would have collapsed after such a blow, and the Briton, having fluently checking that his eyes were on the spot, continued to box.

The predictable result of such a fight was Tyson Fury’s victory. Only one judge dared to give Kevin two rounds, the rest saw the British domination in every three -minute segment. Nevertheless, the Gypsy king could not knock out a strong opponent.
