On the night of December 22, the second duel of the strongest heavy weight boxers Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury will take place. The Ukrainian won the first battle and will now defend five champion belts at once.

Alexander has not yet lost in a professional career, but earlier he had failures.

I got to the world champion

2008 was determining in the career of Usik. Alexander dreamed of going to the Olympic Games in Beijing. The Ukrainian won a license at the Strage Cup in the weight category up to 81 kg. But in February, the Olympic Committee of Ukraine sent Alexander to competitions in Italy, where he represented the country already in heavyweight. The experiment was recognized as successful, and he fell into the games in the category up to 91 kg.

At first, it seemed that in China, Usik had good chances of a medal, despite high competition. In the first round, he got into one gate in one gate with the local boxer Yuishan NiSzyati with a score of 23: 4.

But already in the quarterfinals, Alexander was waiting for a severe test in the person of the experienced Italian Clementa Rousseau, who won the world championship a year before, where he defeated the strong Russian Rakhim Chakhkiev in the final.

For a kind of manner of attacking Jeb Boxer from the Nazkok from the Apennine Peninsula received an eloquent nickname Bull. At the same time, Clement was very good in defense. He did not allow the opponents to calmly box, arranging viscous fights, where he often achieved success due to competent work in Klinch.

A viscous battle

The first round of the fight was dictated by the Italian boxer. He did not change the corporate viscous style, rarely, but for sure. In two starting minutes, the Usyk did not inflict a single test blow, the clock earned two points.

Now it is difficult to imagine that Usyk with his excellent equipment could rush into Zaruba with sweeping blows, but in 2008, Alexander definitely lacked skills. In the second round, his inaccurate lateral once after time ran into the jabs from a racket performed by Rousseau. Thanks to this, the Italian calmly scored glasses, acting with the second number. This two -minute ended with a score of 4: 1.

In the third segment, Russo did not change himself. He again applied several jabs, entering after each of them in the clinch. At the same time, the clocks worked perfectly with his legs. Thanks to them, he easily moved away from the blows of the Usyk. Sometimes the Italian even defiantly dropped his hands, but this did not add a chance to Alexander, who missed over and over again. Sometimes he shook only air. Rousseau also regularly scored glasses, attacking after such mistakes. It is not surprising that the round ended with a score of 7: 2.

Meanness in a losited battle

The fourth segment of Usyk began more actively. He was the first to earn a point and tried to develop success, but Rousseau constantly knit it. At one of the moments, the Ukrainian could not stand the nerves. When the boxers diverged after another clinch and Clemente raised his hands to let go of his opponent, Alexander did not find anything better than to cut the opponent in the face. Naturally, the judge in the ring showed that it is impossible to count the point.

Soon Usik once again acted very ugly. When the judge spread the boxers, the Ukrainian casually hit the Clemente on the back of the head. At the remaining moment of the fight, Usyk scored another point, but there was not enough time for more. As a result, Russo won without any problems – 7: 4.

The Italian reached Beijing to the finals, having overcome another future heavyweight champion among the professionals of Deontei Wilder. In the final, he allowed Rahim Chakhkiev’s revenge. After the defeat, Usyk considered the option of completing his career. Only his father made him change his mind.

In 2012, boxers again agreed in a full -time confrontation. This time, the fight took place as part of the final of the London Olympics. Usika managed to take a convincing revenge and win a gold medal.
