Usika was detained by the police in front of the main battle in his career. Handcuffs put on the Ukrainian
True, the incident did not affect the preparation for revenge with Fury.
On December 21, a revenge between Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik and British Tyson Fury will take place in Riyadh. The horses will stand at the WBC, IBO, WBO, WBA (Super) and The Ring. In May, the representative of Ukraine, a sensationally defeated by a separate decision of the judges, inflicting the first defeat in a professional career. To the delight of fans, the athletes almost immediately agreed to divide the ring again.
And so, between the fights, Usyk managed to get into the scandal of an interstate scale. To resolve the conflict, rather influential people had to intervene.
I tried on handcuffs
On September 17, Usyk was detained at Krakow Airport. From Poland, the boxer, along with his friend, was going to go to Spain for training. But suddenly everything went not according to plan.
The airline was confused by the condition of the satellite of Alexander. They regarded him as a strong alcohol intoxication. At the same time, the Usyku team post -factual said that on the appearance of a boxer friend, fatigue affected after a long move from Kyiv.
One way or another, the athlete was not missed for a familiar athlete, after which Alexander began to actively protest, refusing to fly alone, and at the same time leave the gate. Such incontinent behavior of Usik turned into the fact that he was detained, handcuffed and sent to the police station.
This event caused a wide resonance. Then Ukrainian politicians erupted with angry messages, and the country’s Genaconsul went to Krakow Airport to clarify the circumstances.
As a result, the story ended safely for Usik and his fellow traveler. The boxer himself admitted that he has no complaints about Polish law enforcement officers.
– Dear friends, there was a misunderstanding. It was quickly decided. Thanks to everyone who cared. Thanks to Ukrainian diplomats for effective support. And the respect of the Polish police for fulfilling their obligations without regard to growth, weight, dimensions and regalia, ”Alexander said in a video message.
Three months have passed since that incident. Both Usik and Fury held fruitful training camps, and both, judging by the photographs on social networks, are in excellent combat uniform. All the more interesting it will be to look after the revenge of the strongest heavyweights in the world. Question: “Will Usyk be the undefeated?” It is still one of the most intriguing in modern boxing.
