“He told Dane White that his dream had come true, because he said that he had made the league in the face when he saw my battles” – Kamotsky

Russian athlete Vasily Kamotsky, nicknamed Pelmen on the air of the program “There is a topic!” On Match TV, he talked about how his victorious match was held at the Power SLAP slave tournament.

On Thursday, Kamotsky defeated the American Layne Verns, nicknamed the Mad Habac at the Power SLAP 11 tournament in Saudi Arabia and won the championship belt. Kamotsky is the first representative of Russia to play in the Power SLAP League, established by the UFC head, Dadin White.

– What is in your soul after victory?

– In my soul, the understanding is that I am the strongest in this sport, that I won the strongest league, I think this is the only league in the slap in the face. I am the champion of this league in heavyweight. I had the opportunity to go out with the flag. This is a great pride!

– How does recovery go after such battles? Surely some complications with the face are taking place at first?

– Everything is fine with me, nothing hurts. After the battle, maybe half an hour my head was sick, then I drank the medicine, and everything is fine. Good condition. There is nothing like that, everything is fine. I will do an MRI, I will see what is there.

– The victory was on points. How is the victory determined in this case?

– Yes, the victory was on points, and everything was easy there. He beat me, I did not move, and he trembled a couple of times, so the round is given. Here they hit you, and you are standing and everything like a wall, and he took a step back. So everything. He had a bad blow, plus he had two fouls: he once tried to dodge the blow and once he hit me not according to the rules, because I had to beat on his cheek, and he hit me in the neck. They removed points from him for impacting incorrectly, plus I took the blows easily, and he seemed to stagger.

– You shouted with the flag: “Russia is forward!”

– Yes, “Russia is a champion!”

– What did the enemy want from you, what did he say?

“I don’t know, I have problems with English, I don’t understand him.” He shouted there, and I to him: “What are you yelling? Yes, you went! ” All! I told him: “Give the belt, everything, lost everything!”

“Dane White then approached you.” Tell us about the details of the conversation with him.

– He congratulated me. I told him that my dream came true and his dream came true that Pelmeen was a league champion, because he all the time said that he had made this league when he saw my battles in Russia.

“You asked for the flag and then turned it around.” You wanted, except the flag of Russia, to expand the flag of your native region.

– UFC is prohibited from any flags except the flag of the country. The flag of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is impossible, they immediately told me about this. I went to the first battle in October in Abu Dhabi, too, with a flag and in Saudi Arabia came with him. I asked permission, they allowed. All the fighters went out with their flags, who had a desire to do this.

– But for you it was a fundamental moment?

– Yes, yes!

– What are your plans now?

– Now we will rest a little and wait for the offer from the league when the next fight is. We will protect the belt with another Hawaiian. While there is health, we will fight. It is necessary to kill all Hawaiians. And there we’ll see it, ”said Kamotsky on the air“ Match TV ”.

2020 Olympics champion boxer Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his career

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.

At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

— I want to tell you honestly about my plans. Many people ask about their future career. Now I have decided to take a conscious break from my professional career. For me, boxing has been and remains a huge part of my life. Therefore, this choice is now very difficult. My whole sports life has been a race to the top: four Russian championships, an Olympic medal in Tokyo and then turning professional, where I went undefeated.

The last fight on July 2 was a turning point for me. The first defeat made me look at many things differently. I thank Allah for the trials and mercies that helped me become a better person. Since I have always felt a responsibility not only in the ring, but also before society, now is the time to become more active in projects that I have long planned, for example, supporting the development of sports infrastructure in my native regions. This doesn’t mean I’m saying goodbye to the ring. I remain an active boxer. But now all my work is outside of it. I thank everyone for their incredible support along this path: both in moments of triumph and in moments of challenge. She gives strength. I promise this new chapter will be just as honest and purposeful. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just saying “goodbye,” Batyrgaziev wrote in the Telegram channel.

Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.
