By a decree of the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, a three -day mourning was announced in the republic from March 3 to 5 in connection with the death of a three -time Olympic champion Buvaisar Saitieva, the Grozny CHGTRK reports.

These days, the state flags of the Russian Federation and the Chechen Republic will be imposed throughout the Chechen Republic.

On Sunday, the President of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) Mikhail Mamiashvili informed Match TV that Saitiev had passed away. He died at the age of 49.

On Monday, the body of a three -time Olympic champion was delivered to Grozny Airport.

Saitiev won the games of 1996, 2004 and 2008, six times became the world and European champion. Since 2022 he was the Vice President of the FSBR.
