The head of IBA Kremlin: “In the IOC they must answer for their actions, our task is to bring it to the end”
The President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlin on the air of the program “There is a topic” on “Match TV” answered the question of whether his sports organization, which he heads, is ready to become the main active force in the fight against the destructive decisions of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Earlier it became known that IBA intends to file a complaint to the General of Switzerland for the decision of the IOC to allow Lin Yuitin from Taiwan and Iman Helif from Algeria to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In 2023, IBA was removed by Lin Yuitin and Helif during the World Cup in India because of the inconsistency of the criteria for admission. As a result of the gender test, it was proved that the athletes have XY chromosomes. In the same year, the IOC session excluded IBA from the Olympic movement, and then the IOC allowed Lin Yuitin and Helif to the Olympics. As a result, both athletes won gold medals.
In February, US President Donald Trump signed a decree on the ban on participating in women’s sports competitions in the United States. In addition, Trump will seek a prohibition of transgender performance at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los -Angeles (USA).
– Maybe it makes sense of your association, which took such a load on its shoulders, turn to other federations? So that this is a collective appeal not only to Trump, so that other federations join your position and collectively filed a lawsuit in court. And then the public position of all federations would be clear.
– I have already called for more than once, but, unfortunately, the IOC works differently. If someone at least raises his head, he says against the idea that Thomas Bach or some group promotes, they exclude such a person through an ethical commission, conduct some fictitious investigations. Unfortunately, today such a private club led by Thomas Bach is managed.
In 2028 there will be an Olympics in the United States, and Trump will be the president of the country that is part of IBA. We came out with a proposal that since he was prohibited in his country, so that this was not at the Olympics. Therefore, I wrote this appeal. And today he has already done an act. That is, from words I went to business. This is such a large indicator for Western Europe and America that it is not necessary to destroy sport, it is not necessary to introduce what can be destroyed in the future in general. According to statistics, we have no women who are going to fight with men, we have mostly redone men who are trying to compete with women. We unite with those who protect human rights. My colleagues, presidents of international associations are also ready to participate, but they do not want publicity, they say that they will begin to act after the election. But we do not want to wait for the elections, we want to bring this matter to the end to the election, we will try to go to this. We require criminal liability that people bear criminal liability, because they destroy the fate of athletes, and here, of course, a person must incur criminal punishment, so that there is an example for others. We are now turning to lawyers who are engaged in human rights. Now in the IOC they must answer for their actions, our task is to bring it to the end, ”Kremlin said on the air of“ Match TV ”.
Earlier, Kremlin called on athletes affected by the IOC decision, to file court claims against the President of the IOC Thomas Bach and the sports director of the organization of Keith MacConnell.
