Adamam and Stevenson defended championship titles according to the WBC version at the tournament in Saudi Arabia

Carlos Adamsa from the Dominican Republic and the American Shakur Stevenson defended the championship titles during a boxing evening in Er -ray (Saudi Arabia).
The WBC world -weight champion fight Adamsa against Hamza Shiraz from Great Britain lasted full of 12 rounds. The opinions of judges were completely divided: 115–114, 110–118, 114–114. Thus, a draw was recorded. Adams retained the championship belt.
Stevenson defeated another British Josh Padley with a technical knockout in the ninth round and defended the WBC lightweight title.
Later, within the framework of the tournament, the main event will be held in Riyadh: the fight for the title of absolute worldwide world champion, in which the Russians Dmitry Bivol and Arthur Beterbiev will meet. The first duel of Russian boxers took place in October 2024 and ended with Beterbiev’s victory by the decision of most judges (114–114, 115–113, 116–112). Beterbiev became the absolute champion of the world in half -life.
