Umar Nurmagomedov – Peter Jan: “No matter how much I wanted, I can fight only in October”
The Russian UFC fighter Umar Nurmagomedov said that he was not ready to fight against compatriot Peter Yan before October, because it is restored after a hand injury.
On Wednesday, Jan invited Nurmagomedov to hold a duel at the UFC tournaments in Baku or Abu Dhabi. Nurmagomedov said he was ready to meet with a compatriot in October in Abu Dhabi.

Jan reported on a social network that he was waiting for a new opponent for UFC summer tournaments.
– Umar is not ready! I hope that there is a worthy call for June in Baku or July in Abu Dhabi, ”Yang wrote.
In November 2024, 32 -year -old ex -champion UFC, the UFC Fight Fijeon Fight Night 248, defeated the UFC 29 -year -old Nurmagomedov, lost to the UFC, Georgian Dvalishvili in January at the UFC 311 tournament.

In Saudi Arabia, the Japanese representative defeated Mexican Alan David Picasso by unanimous decision and defended his WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF titles.
After the final bell, the reporter asked Inoue whether he should take the first place in the ranking of the world’s strongest boxers, which is currently occupied by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

The strongest boxers of our time – Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Japanese Naoya Inoue – We met in the ring of Mohammed Abdo Aren in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on December 27th.

Next year, Usik plans to fight against former American champion Deontay Wilder, and Naoya is considering two options: Junto Nakatani or Jesse Rodriguez.

Japanese Naoya Inoue defended his title of absolute world boxing champion in the second bantamweight division.
In a 12-round fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he defeated Mexican David Picasso by unanimous decision: 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111.
Inoue defended his title of absolute world champion in the weight category up to 55.22 kg for the sixth time.
The 32-year-old Japanese now has 32 victories (27 by knockout) in 32 fights. 25-year-old Picasso suffered the first defeat in his career; he also has 32 wins (17 by knockout) and one draw.
In the co-main fight of the evening, former world champion in three weight categories, Japanese Junto Nakatani, won the second bantamweight bout over Mexican Sebastian Hernandez.
The fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended with Nakatani winning by unanimous decision: 115–113, 115–113, 118–110.
Now 27-year-old Nakatani has 32 victories (24 by knockout) and not a single defeat. The 25-year-old Hernandez has 20 wins (18 by knockout) and one loss.
