The interests of the Dmitry and WBC team conflict.

Having taken revenge from Arthur Beterbiev, Dmitry Bwil won four main belts in professional boxing (WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF). Fans, experts and athletes themselves believe that the third, decisive duel is simply inevitable. After all, only after it can it be identified by the strongest boxer of our time.

But there is a chance that for the sake of the trilogy, Bivol will have to lose one belt, and at the same time – the status of an absolute world champion. What will Dmitry decide?

Solid intention WBC

The World Boxing Council (WBC) announced that David Benavides should become the next opponent of Bivol in the battle for the organization. The undefeated American became a temporary champion last summer, and managed to protect the title in February.

David did not interfere with the revenge of Bivola and Beterbiev and conducted an additional battle. Moreover, Benavides is ready to wait further, because he perfectly understands that in the media plan it is significantly inferior to two half -wire leaders. The American boxer spoke about this even before the second fight between the Russians.

– The only thing I think is that they will have to spend the third battle if Dmitry wins. And who am I to criticize them for this. If this happens, then I will not fight with the winner, but wait, ”Benavides told journalist Ariel Helvani.

However, the WBC is determined. The President of the organization Maurisio Suleiman immediately after the fight for the title of absolute champion said who will be the next opponent of Bivola.

– trilogy? David Benavides is a mandatory contender of WBC, and he has already allowed to hold two fights between Bivol and Beterbiev, – quoted Suleiman “Match TV”.

Bivola team is still holding

After the WBC statements, the media rose unrest that the Russian will take the organization’s belt if he did not accept the battle with Benavides. And theoretically, this option is possible. Last year, Alexander Usik lost the IBF title and the status of an absolute heavyweight champion. This happened between the fights with Tyson Fury. The British was not in the IBF rating, and the boxers from this organization due to the protracted confrontation of the two champions for a long time did not receive a chance to fight for the title. As a result, Daniel Dubois won a vacant belt.

A similar story is now in WBC. Competition between Russians does not allow other boxers to dispute the full title, so they have to fight for the temporary one. At the same time, the Bivola team is sure that no one will take the belt, and the applicants will wait.

– I do not see serious risks of deprivation of belts. Now there are two obligatory applicants. As far as I know, one was from IBF after the first battle – Michael Eifert. The second is already through the WBC – Benavides. Nevertheless, if everything is according to plan, we expect a third battle with Beterbiev in Er -Riyad later this year, as it was discussed.

Considering that everyone is waiting for the third battle, I think that all the obligatory applicants will have to get his chance after him, ”said Boxer’s manager Vadim Kornilov“ Match TV ”.

Let’s see if Bwal can agree with the WBC for the third battle with Beterbiev without loss of the belt. But even if the position of the organization turns out to be uncompromising, no one will stop the Russian to return the title of absolute champion after the trilogy with the armored personnel carrier. Dmitry is a confident favorite of the third battle with Betherbiev, and the age (34 years) allows you to look next year, when the turn of Benavides and other applicants come.
