Nakatani triumphs in spectacular fight against Hernandez in Riyadh

On Saturday, December 27, Ring V boxing night is held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and its main event will be the fight for the title of absolute world champion Naoya Inoue – Alan David Picasso.

In the second most important fight, representatives of the second bantamweight (up to 55.3 kg) met – the former world champion Japanese met in the ring Junto Nakatani (31-0, 24 KOs) and undefeated Mexican Sebastian Hernandez (20-0, 18 knockouts).

Japan’s favorite gave the middle of the ring to his opponent and bet that he would be number two. Nakatani was excellent on his feet, attacking with lightning speed from favorable positions and quickly converting to long range.

The Mexican opponent decisively resisted his opponent’s blows, worked well in defense, but was inferior in speed and maneuverability.

Using his entire arsenal – punches, sides, hooks – Nakatani calmly dismantled Hernandez from distance. But after a safe start the favorite slowed down and allowed his rival to equalize the fight.

The opponent aggressively pressured Nakatani, throwing heavy punches and immediately hiding defensively to avoid missing anything heavy. Gradually, the initiative completely passed into the hands of Hernandez, who actively gained points from the judges’ notes.

In the championship rounds, both boxers continued to test each other’s mettle by throwing numerous punches. An incredibly spectacular and interesting fight, where the situation in the ring changes almost every second.

After the results of 12 rounds, the jury recorded the victory by unanimous decision of the Japanese, who can now fight with his compatriot Naoya Inoue.
