“Perhaps soon” – the head of the RDIP on the return of UFC tournaments to Russia
The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, said that work was underway to return the tournaments of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) to Russia.
– A grandeur! We are working on the return of UFC tournaments to Russia. Perhaps soon, ”Dmitriev wrote on the social network X, responding to the presence of US President Donald Trump at the UFC 314 tournament in Miami.
Earlier, the UFC commentator Joe Rogan said he would not go to the league tournament in Canada, but would prefer to visit the UFC show in Russia. Prior to this, the UFC head Dane White has repeatedly stated that the league holds the possibility of returning tournaments to Russia. In 2019, three UFC show (twice in Moscow and once in St. Petersburg) were held in Russia.
