Belal Muhammad: “Islam Makhachev will defeat Topuria in the second round”
The UFC champion Belal Muhammad suggested that Russian Islam Makhachev will defeat Elijah Topuria in a battle for the title of a light division champion if this fight takes place.
Earlier, ABC and Marca reported that the UFC intends to organize the fight of the current lightweight champion Makhachev and the undefeated champion of the bestial weight of Topuria on June 28 in Las Vegas at the UFC 317 tournament. Officially, UFC has not yet announced the battle.
“I think Islam will defeat Topuria in the second round,” Red Corner MMA quotes Muhammad.
During his career in MMA, Topuria spent 16 battles and did not suffer a single defeat. Since February 2024, he owned a fed -light UFC championship belt, but left it for the sake of raising the category. In February 2025, the head of the UFC Dane White said that Topuria goes into a light division.
Makhachev – UFC champion in lightweight. The Russian has 27 victories and one defeat. 33 -year -old Makhachev successfully defended his title four times, which he owns on October 22, 2022.
