Boxing was included in the program of the Olympic Games – 2028 in Los -Ageles
President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach said that boxing was included in the 2028 Olympic Games program in Los -Angeles.
The decision was made at the 144th Session of the IOC in Greece. Earlier, the IOC Executive Committee advocated the inclusion of boxing in the Olympics -2028 program.
The IOC previously sent a letter to the National Olympic Committee, in which he forbade any interactions with the national boxing federations that are part of the Boxing International Association (IBA). In June 2023, the IOC deprived IBA recognition.
The International Olympic Committee temporarily recognized the World Boxing (WB) organization that controls boxing at the world level.
