Kremlin: “The Russians should act only under national symbols – and the point. They will come running to us with a bow, they have no choice “
Umar Kremlev, President of the International Boxing Association (IBA), said Russian athletes should agree to speak at international tournaments only with national flag and anthem.
On Thursday, the 41 -year -old representative of Zimbabwe Kirsti Koventry was elected to the presidency of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Later, Coventry in an interview with Sky News said that he was opposed to the removal of countries from the Olympic Games due to military conflicts.
– I am glad that international sports organizations finally took up the head. But it is important to remember that half measures do not suit us.
I urge all athletes to stand for their flag and anthem. Russians should speak only under their national symbols – and the point. They will come running with a bow, they have no choice. I wish all athletes more victories and home matches in their native fields! – Kremlin wrote in the Telegram channel.
