Kazakh fighter Almakhan won the first victory in the UFC, sending Kato to Katun

A fighter from Kazakhstan, Bekzat Almakhan, defeated the preliminary card of the UFC 315 tournament, held in Montreal (Canada).

Almakhan knocked out the Canadian Brad Katon in the first round, bringing down a series of fist strikes on the opponent. The battle took place as part of the lightest division.

This is the second fight of Almakhan in the UFC and the first victory. In 2024, he made his debut in the UFC Fight Night series, defeating from Russian Umar Nurmagomedov as a unanimous judicial decision. Moreover, during the battle, Almakhan once sent Nurmagomedov to a knockdown.

The asset of 27 -year -old Almakhan is now 12 wins with two defeats. The 33 -year -old Cato lost the third of the last four battles. He has 14 victories and five defeats in his entire career.
